yes, we are alive!!

Hello dear friends and family, as you can probably guess, life here has been just a tad busy! :) I now have some free moments to write and let you know how we have been...sorry it has been like a MONTH since I wrote!!!

School is going well, I am loving it, keeping it low key and focusing on character building, having the girls help around the house. It has been fun and in the midst of every day life, lessons and training take place, it is great!

Ez Man has some coming appointments in the month of October. He will have eye muscle surgery and new ear tubes put in at the same time, on Oct. 30th. We have started him on a new Med. for his high muscle tone, we have seen some good results, but after being examined by a doctor, she suggested we treat his muscle tone very aggressively, with a goal of having his limbs and joints remain "movable" for as long as possible....so with this comes some more medical interventions, kinda a new "stage" for us in his journey of his daily struggle with tight joints and muscles. God has blessed us with amazing doctors and therapists that loved our little man, they encourage us as parents and gently show us the whole new "world" of all that Ezzy needs in order to continue to improve. I am so thankful for God's grace and strength in growing us as we continue to rely upon Him for wisdom to do what is best of our Ez Man.

Little Owen is almost ONE, it is hard to believe! He is such a JOY and so much fun, a little "peanut" and precious in every way. The girls continually bless me with their love for both their brothers, there are many stories, precious to my mommy heart, a true treasure and confirmation that God KNEW Ezzy would be so loved and cared for. I love that God chose US, how blessed we all are. I often feel unworthy to mother him, but rest in the truth that God daily grows me and conforms me more and more into His image because of Ezra....I wouldn't change any part of this journey for anything.

I, along with another mom, have started a MOM group. We are all reading the book, Ministry of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson, a MUST read by all moms!!! It is so very encouraging and focuses on Jesus being our ultimate example of disciplining and training our children...God has brought together moms from all walks of life, all bringing different "life" stories to the table, it has been encouraging and we just met once!!!

Among the daily tasks, schooling, Youth ministry and appointments, God's grace and strength refreshes me and I praise HIM for His goodness...thank you to all who wrote and wondered how we were, it blesses my heart to be "missed"...I have been visiting you all, just have not sat down to write...well, LOVE to you all and updates will follow about Ezzy and his coming appointments. At the beginning of October we meet with a doc about him gaining weight! This appointment has been in the works for months, so I hope to learn new things to beef up my little skinny boy!!
Love to you all!!!

So glad to hear of your Mom time. And I've never heard of that book. I will have to ask for that one for Christmas.

What is the eye surgery for? How will it help? For Dillon's weight they put him on a vitamin with 100% zinc and on pedisure for tube fed kids. It does seem to work. Please do keep us updated with his appointments. I'll be praying!
