to blog or not to blog....

that is the question!!! :) LIFE is full of blessings and I am so thankful for guests to host, dinners to prepare, laundry to clean, sweet noses to wipe, faces to kiss, a hubby to love on, children to read to, teaching myself new crafts, READING :), keeping in contact with loved ones, teaching my children about our great God, stretching my little guy's muscles, eating for two :)...to name a few of this Mommy's daily tasks...
So, as I ask myself whether or not I should blog, I often opt to just enjoy my days and not worry about always blogging about them :) BUT oh, how I love to share about all God has blessed me with in my life. SO....
If you are interested in a few of things that have occupied my time, where a picture was snapped to remember the beautiful memory, you can go on over to our family blog.

Bath time, Brush-Brush time, and Night-Night time...

Here is the order of events for Owen after his face and body is covered with dinner :)
I love this little guy, he brings a smile to all our faces, we just can't get enough of loving on him!

We are blessed.

A verse to share...

This morning, as I was reading, a verse kinda "jumped" off the page to me. Has that ever happened to you? Words you have read before, but this time spoke to you in bold way?

I was reading through Romans 6, when I came to these verses:

"But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that from of teaching to which you were committed, and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness."
Romans 6:17-18

I LOVE the word obedient, I use it a lot with my kiddos... :) you moms out there can relate, we desire and demand obedience from our children...but when you turn that command towards us, as the mommy, well, it may be a bit harder to enjoy...that is why these verses spoke to me, we are instructed to be obedient from the HEART, to the form of teaching that we are COMMITTED to, that being the WORD of God, the fact that we are FREED from sin, we now have a new "master" God Himself! Therefore, we are now slaves of RIGHTEOUSNESS, wow, amazing!

I am so thankful that I CAN be obedient from my heart, because of Christ within me...I often explain to my girls that the only way they can do anything good is with the Spirit of God living through us, my prayer is that they will be saved and therefore have the Spirit within them, so that they can live out the fruits of the Spirit...I pray with them for understanding and for salvation...I share with them that the way I, mommy, can know I am not living as God wants and choosing what is right is because of the Spirit within me...they often have a hard time understanding that I do wrong, so I try to show them examples, I want them to understand that mommy is SO not perfect, but because of God, I can do right things, a "slave of righteousness"...slowly I think that they are understanding the NEED for the Spirit of God in their lives...and that the Bible is our guidebook, our source of ALL wisdom...

So, the Lord has challenged my heart to obey Him, choose to be a slave unto righteouness...to live it clearly in front of my children and to stay COMMITTED to the teaching from His Word. Obedience is a wonderful command and I praise God that through HIM, I can obey His Word from my heart, FREED from the hold of sin because of Christ!
