Mommy Work-out!

OK, so most of us moms out there do not get to actually leave the house to work-out...at least this mommy doesn't! :) Due to the very chilly weather and no convenient gym membership, I have had to come up with my own "work-out"....let me share.
As I was DANCING about the kitchen today with Owen in my arms and Gabby riding her scooter around (crashing into everything, might I add!) the thought dawned on me; listening to God glorifying music and dancing with my precious kiddos are an excellent way to get my heart pumping and show my kiddos that dancing is PRAISING God and worshiping Him through song! Ezzy and I often jig around our kitchen to "our song", it is a song for the verse Psalm 139:14. God has wonderfully created all our children and when I have Ezzy in my arms making his arms raise and praise His God, I tend to tear up as I smile and dance away to the beautiful words of scripture pouring from my boombox! The song is from the music man named, Donut Man. I LOVE these CDs and recommend them to every and ALL moms! I even listened to the Donut Man when I was a little girl and as I listen to the CDs today, the words of scripture are fresh in my memory from listening to these God honoring songs when younger. (cassette tapes then :) Thanks Mom!
So, let me encourage you to look into the Donut Man, all the songs are pure scripture and glorify God with a peppy beat! I enjoy my mommy work-outs and wanted to share these CDs with you as something to look into.
God Bless and do a jig for the wonderful, powerful God we serve!
In HIS GOODNESS,
Liz
p.s. by the way, I also consider my stairs in my home a work-out too, since my washer and dryer are down there!!! :) Hey, make the most of what I have, right???
Dancing and praising....

Where does the time go??? For real, it feels like Owen was just placed into my arms for the first time to love and admire! He will be three months tomorrow, hard to believe.
This little guy has brought so much fun into our home. Thank you God for our precious little Owen. You are a GOOD and loving God.

Reflection...

Here I am happy to have a free moment to blog....I literally ran down the stairs to get to the computer :) We have re-located our home office to the downstairs and it is not as easy to hop online anymore. We set up a "boys" room upstairs :) where the office was, next to our bedroom, so now internet time is at a low...but due to boys still sleeping and girls relaxing. I have a free moment....
So, let me share with you what God has been teaching me. I have been reading through Matthew and falling in love with Jesus all over again. He is such a man of boldness and I love to read of how he instructed His disciples and commanded wind and waves to obey Him. He truly is a Man to admire and reverence. He continually encouraged His disciples to "pick up their cross and FOLLOW Him." He lovingly took time for the crowds of people, the sick, the needy, the lame...His compassion is amazing. His healing power is worthy of praise, His timing is perfect.
I just finished chapter 11 and LOVE the ending verse, let me share, many know it already...
"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28-29
Our precious Savior IS gentle and humble...such words of peace and stillness. Words that REFRESH my soul and give me a smile...
As we all start our day and face all that lay before us, let these precious words of truth RING in your heart and mind. GO to Him, for He calls, REST in Him, for He longs for us, and LEARN from Him, He is a teacher of great humility.
Since celebrating Ezra's 2nd birthday, I at times "re-live" the early dates of February 2005. For those days where the days when there was so many unknowns and the possiblity of goodbyes...We were on a rollercoaster ride of emotion, yet stable and firm in our PEACE...a peace from GOD ALONE and definitely beyond our understanding. I love thinking back, not to remember the heartache of our experience, but to REJOICE in seeing ALL God has chosen to do in Ezzy's precious life! God truly is amazing and worthy of my PRAISE....so I shout out HIS GOODNESS and thank Him for His unending REST He daily offers me, I daily need.
The verses in Matthew are ones that give me new energy for today, I thank God for these words that refresh my heart and remind me of the rest and peace He gave two years ago is still as NEW and ready for me today. Praise God He does not get tired of blessing us with His amazing grace and rest for us. So I encourage you today, to read the words of our Savior Jesus and swim in His rest for you...as you face unknown challenges of today or have heartache over past trials...for HE is gentle and humble in heart.
Little feet our coming down the stairs, must go :)
Enjoy God's peace and comfort today...
