thankful...

With the theme of thankfulness in the air... though the big day was yesterday, I would still like to list out some things I am thankful for.

Just a small list of things that bring JOY and THANKFULNESS to my heart...

My Ezzy's deep brown beautiful eyes

The laugh of Gabby that brings a huge smile to my face

Sweet friendships with friends all over the world

Watching Ellie twirl and dance

The creativity of God in how individual my children are

Holding sweet Owen in my arms

Seeing my husband reach down and scoop up his kiddos into his arms

The color blue

For my dishwasher :)

Having my parents live close to us

Country Time Lemonade

Kisses from my kiddos given all on their own

A husband that is also my BEST friend, who often watches ALL kiddos so I can have time alone....ahhh, such a blessing :)

A GOD that will never leave me, loves me endlessly, and lavishly gives His perfect GRACE towards me...His child

How precious...

are the feet of those who bring good news...sweet Owen HAS brought us good news!! He has reminded us of the GOODNESS and GRACE our our great God. His precious feet are so very kissable...I felt them moving around constantly the whole time he was growing inside me, precious memories of his development and now I have the blessing of enjoying them on the outside! I just love toes...on newborns that is :) God is good and I PRAISE Him for precious feet and precious blessings...

Here is big sister Ellie loving on her baby brother today...soon it will be in person, for that we are all excited! We covet your prayers about the birth of our precious son taking place tomorrow.

Show and Tell...

Today at homeschool, Gabby asked if we could have "show and tell". She had a bunny rabbit, a huge sea shell, and some other small treasures all packed up ready to share about when she asked. She was excited when I agreed to her request. :) She brought her goodies up to the schoolroom ready to start school. I told Ellie that she needed to go and find a very special thing to show us and tell us about why it is so special to her. After running around the house a bit looking for something special to her, I thought she would come back with a baby doll or little pony, since those toys are her favorite. She re-entered the schoolroom with nothing in hand. She walked over to a framed picture of her brother Ezra that is at her level on a shelf, one she admires often. She picked it up with a huge smile on her face and brought it to her desk. After Gabby shared about her treasures and even had some precious "stones" to share and give away, it was Ellie's turn. She got up in front of her sister, mommy, and bubby. She was a bit shy, but then I encouraged her to share about the picture. She smiled and said, "this is my brother when he was little...he is special cause he is our present..." and sat back down. Tears welled up in mommy's eyes...we often refer to Ezra as our little gift from God and both girls take this phrase to heart. Ellie has said before that Ezra needs a bow on, cause he is our gift...and even just last night, she asked if Bubby came in a box...Daddy figured it out, since I was confused...she was referring to him being our gift :)

Times like these when your precious little ones can bring you to tears due to their sweet understanding of life, makes your heart just melt. I wanted to share this with you about our little Ellie, who along with her older sister and brother, is a GIFT from God we treasure and love.
