What are they doing???

You may be wondering...what are they doing? Well, they are leaving their precious art work on Ezra's new casts. His two big sisters along with their friends left their names for Ezzy to wear proudly until he receives new casts in three weeks!
Fun time with markers...

The kiddos are resting, so here's my chance... :)

I just wanted to write and give some PRAISE to God....tommorow, VERY early :) my hubbie, Ezzy, and I are heading out for two days of Doctors visits. I am so thankful to God for my mom and dad, aka, Nana and Papa, who care for the big sisters while we are away tending to Ezra. These times away present Edwin and I will lots of "catching" up time, as we are able to chat and visit with each other. I consider these times away true blessings from God. We miss our girls like crazy, but knowing that Nana and Papa are having fun with them and loving on them, puts our minds at ease so that we can focus on Ezzy and his care. Doctor appointments can be intense and a long time for a prego mommy to wait and sit :) but God is good and I PRAISE Him for blessing me with a hubbie that is with me during most appointments.
God continues to patiently show me that even in the busy schedule, I can still find REST IN HIM and only need to "draw near to Him and He will draw near to me..." I rejoice that my pregnancy has gone well thus far, which has allowed me to continue in bringing Ezzy everywhere he needs to go. I LOVE my job as mommy and consider every day a true GIFT.
God has used a dear friend (going through a similar health situation with her son, such as Ezra's) recently to affirm the fact that He ALONE knows the future and brings people into our lives for a PURPOSE....God comforts my mommy heart in all the emotion and "heart" of raising a special needs child. He brings a past friendship alive again to encourage me, just as HE planned so that HE will be glorified and PRAISED in our friendship and bond.
I have taken this time to share my heart and all that God is doing. Thank you for reading....I don't type a lot, but these things have been pressing my heart.....GOD is so worthy of our praise...I LOVE that fact that He is sovereign and IN CONTROL, to see a piece of HIS plan play out is just beautiful...

This is my dear friend Belinda. She has blessed me with her friendship for many years. I have loved catching up with her these past few weeks, since her family has been overseas serving our great God in the country of the Philippines. We have had some great memories made that I will cherish for years to come...until we meet again. :)
She has been there for me, praying for me, cheering me on, and encouraging me in my journey of mothering. I will never forget her words and daily calls from many miles away during the first days of Ezra's precious life. She gave me reason to laugh and smile in the midst of so many unknowns for our family. She has the GIFT of JOY and LOVE for life and God has used her mightly in my life!
I love you Belinda and treasure you....you are dearly loved and I will miss you as you prepare to return to where God, in His sovereignty has you and your family right now.
I am so proud to call you my friend, my fellow mommy, wife, and friend...

Carwash time with Daddy

The girls had fun washing Daddy's car with him. Since it was so hot, I think that most of the water ended up on them rather than the car! Oh well, it was washed with love, that is all that matters.

I had a fun visit in my office by my two little princess girlies the other day. Thought you would enjoy their outfits! They LOVE to clomp around on the hard wood floor in their shoes! Posted by Picasa

Good Morning, reporting in on one of my "jewels" :)

I love early mornings....it is very quiet here right now :) So peaceful and still.....
I have made the coffee, still have to make a cup and I just found a recipe for a coffee cake I would like to make. I did just want to say HI to all who stop by :)
Yesterday we were in St. Louis with Ezra and we had two great appointments with some new doctors who discussed his curved back and very curved feet. As far as the back, well since he is so small, we have to wait for him to grow and get older before we do any form of bracing, but it was nice to hear from him that we are doing all we can for him in stretching and positioning him continually throughout the day. As far as his tiny little feet, well we will soon begin a "casting" process where, as far as I understand, we will be weekly casting his feet to move them gradually into place. I asked if the "casting" is just like the kind you use when a bone is broken and he said yes. So, we will travel weekly to do this process and there will be minor surgery involved also. We were very pleased with this doctor and enjoyed learning and understanding how Ezzy's foot became as curved out as it has. He said that for him, his foot is really a bone placement issue, that the braces we were trying for the first 1 1/2 of his life will not fix the problem and that it is good that we are there at Children's Hospital. The hospital is known for working with children with feet problems such as Ezra's. We were thrilled to find out we are in a great location and that the doctors he needs are here in our state!!! We praise God for the blessing and encouragement this trip was!
So, now we have much travel ahead for his continual care, so we ask for prayers of safety and wisdom in planning. We are blessed with Edwin's job, that allows him to come to most appointments, but on a weekly basis, it may be hard. St. Louis is a fun city with lots to do so on the days I take the girls and (NANA of course) to Ezra's doc appts. we try to make the most of our three hour one way trips when we all go together!
Thank you for praying and loving on our son.....God is GOOD!
Love in His everlasting GRACE,
Lizy
